Shopify's Mechanic allows you to automatically fulfill items that don't need to be shipped.

Normally, Shopify does not automatically fulfill non-shipping items, but you can do so with Mechanic. So, if the item is fulfilled and the product type is digital goods, the order details will show a "Download" link instead of "Shipped". It's convenient.
